T

FROM A TEA PARTY...
Pearls, linen napkins, and teacups...what more could a girl ask for!

TO T-BALL...

Dirt, glove, and the good ole outside...what more could a boy ask for!

What a wonderful Saturday we had!

Started with Palmer and I going to a vintage tea party for a friend's birthday!

Great food!

Great friends!

Great fun!

HAPPY 5th  BIRTHDAY Kenley!

After the tea party we headed to the baseball fields for Jackson's first t-ball practice of the season!
Jackson was super excited and has some of his best buds on his team!

GO METS!

Brackin thinks he's a big boy too!

While Palmer and Brackin were napping, Sutton and Jackson decided to start a backyard project.
A new picnicTable for the backyard!

Wishes

We were out in the yard this afternoon, and Palmer found a small dandelion that she picked.  I then heard her saying, " I wish...I wish..." and she blew sending dandelion seeds floating in the air.  Very curious, I asked her what she wished for and here was her reply:
"I wish...I wish...to come (not become) a princess!"

Lazy Sunday...

Last Sunday, the weather was gorgeous, we skipped out on church (I had some final clean up obligations for Tree House).  Lunch was creeping close and the kids were playing in the backyard...our favorite pass time these days!  I asked Sutton what he wanted to do for lunch, and offered to go pick something up.  He pondered for a minute and said he had the BEST idea that we (the whole family) would love!
He suggested we take the little boat (a canoe with a motor) to Lake Jackson and boat over to this little oyster shack across the lake, and that is just what we did!
We (the whole family) had so much fun on our adventure!  And Shuckers was the perfect spot for a lazy Sunday lunch!
Thanks honey for the great suggestion...looking forward to doing it again soon!

Eating her first RAW oyster...Poppy would be proud!

Gorgeous!

Loving the wind in her face.

Because we were just riding over for lunch (and had to get home for naps), Sutton didn't bring any fishing rods.  Well like father like son, Jackson doesn't get on a boat and not ask to fish.  After being told we had no fishing rods, our like resourceful racoon made his own...

I stick and a strap found on the bank of the lake, the plastic fork from lunch, and please note the piece of hotdog stuck to the fork...what a mean fish fighting machine!

Can you believe it, the fish weren't biting?  There's always next time!

A taste of spring...

Last minute (4:00) Friday afternoon, Sutton and I decided to take the kids to Carabelle for the night and out on the boat for the day on Saturday.
Dog Island:
What a wonderful time we had!  The weather was more than perfect...
Picnicing in the sand, finding treasures, building sandcastles, splashing in COLD water, drinking cold beer, exploring, fishing (without a bite), digging, burying...PURE enjoyment!
We are looking forward to many, many more beach excursions in the upcoming months!
