A taste of spring...

Last minute (4:00) Friday afternoon, Sutton and I decided to take the kids to Carabelle for the night and out on the boat for the day on Saturday.
Dog Island:
What a wonderful time we had!  The weather was more than perfect...
Picnicing in the sand, finding treasures, building sandcastles, splashing in COLD water, drinking cold beer, exploring, fishing (without a bite), digging, burying...PURE enjoyment!
We are looking forward to many, many more beach excursions in the upcoming months!

My Valentine...Forever and Always!

We had a wonderful, quiet, in home Valentine's dinner (just the two of us)!

I fed the kids early, a special Valentine's meal with friends.
(Heart shaped ravioli and chocolate fondue marshmallows)
Followed by an early bath and bedtime.

As I love our crazy family meals we have every night, I must say it was nice to have a quiet adult meal for a change!

To My Valentine,
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you do for us!
I love you with all of my heart forever and always!
I am truly blessed!
XOXO

Love is in the air...

This year I made Jackson WRITE each of his valentine's for all 16 of his classmates (plus his teachers)...
You would have thought I hung him by his big toe!
Broken up into 3 days, we FINALLY finished!
Oh boy am I in trouble when he starts having nightly homework!

Hope you have a SUPER Valentine's Day!
Hope your Valentine's Day is Enchanting!

Each of the (big) kids had a Valentine's Day party at school.  What fun to see the joy a card and a little candy can bring!

Fruit-Cabobs I made for both classes!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Wee Willie Winkie day...

It was a Mother Goose Day in PreK3...

Wee Willie Winkie runs through the town,
Upstairs, downstairs, in his nightgown!
Rapping at the window and crying through the lock,
Are the children in their beds, for it's eight o'clock?

No better morning then this morning to be able to head out of the house in jammies!
Rain rain go away...

Thanks Uncle Jordan for my twinkle toes...they go so well with my nightgown!

No more of these...

"holey" pants...
Just tonight Brackin has decided to become an official walker...gone are the days of all fours!  He took his first few steps on Christmas day (6 weeks ago) and has taken many other short distance walks since. For some reason today was the day he decided to walk.  After each fall he'd pop right back up and keep going.

And the race is on...

One proud boy!

Taco Tuesday!

Jackson came to me last week, "Hey mom, I have a great idea that you're going to LOVE!"  My response, "Oh yeah...what's that?"  Jackson, "We're going to have Taco Tuesday every week!"  Most of you probably know, the Webb kids (all 3 of them) don't turn down much when it comes to food, but tacos are an ALL time favorite!

Here's to many more Taco Tuesdays!

A rite of passage...

On Sunday afternoon, I ran out to the gro to stock up for the week.  Was a usual trip, hour/ hour and a half (at the most).  When I left, the (big) kids were in the backyard playing.  Mattie, our neighbor from a few houses down rode her bike over (She's in 4th grade.) and was playing with the kids (and Sutton).  When I returned from the store, the kids were still in the backyard playing.  As soon as I stepped out of the car, Jackson came running up (full of excitement), "Mommy come here, I HAVE to show you something!"  Being drug to the front yard, I couldn't imagine what the excitement and smiles were all about.
THEN, I saw it...Sutton had taken Jackson's training wheels off of his bike! (The one he just got from Santa.)  I thought to myself as we headed to the street...there is NO way!  Sure enough, with a small push from Sutton, Jackson was off...on TWO wheels!  I couldn't believe he mastered this life long skill in such a short period of time!
I'm so proud of him!  Way to go Jackson!
(Hats off for Mattie who apparently was his number one cheerleader!)
